‘Roots and Wings’ art show goes on

ArtsRevive Executive Director Becky Youngblood said Thursday’s 18th Annaul ‘Roots and Wings’ art show turned out beautifully, despite the challenges of making the event happen due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

While the event did not see as many attendees as normal, Youngblood expressed her gratitude to those who did attend the show, especially the artists who submitted the 172 works displayed in the Carneal Building on Thursday night.

“Being here and appreciating this art is one thing,” said Youngblood. “But being able to discuss the works further with the artist is so special.”
The standout pieces of Thursday’s show were recognized with 14 awards.
